1992 Caddy Devilled Shuts Off When Gas Is Low In Tank, What's The Matter?
1992 caddy devilled loses power at 40mph it bogs down,then stalls when the fuel in the tank get low around 3 gallons or less. Sometimes it shut off completely; it will start right up imediately.Shoud I change out the fuel pump and the sending element or what? Please Help!

It sounds like your sock screen in the gas cistern needs to be replaced,and that isn't very hard to do. Let the gas stratum get low in the car after remove the tank and you will see where the fuel lines enter the tank,inside at hand is a screen sock,the cost for this part is usually under $10.
