It could be a number of things. I assume it is a starter for a car. Make sure the battery is charged. Turn the push button and listen for a click. If you dont hear one the cylinoid bad. If you do it could be the coil which would tell you that you are not getting enough power to turn it. Ifs thats not it, consequently its a bad starter
