Almost any good auto parts store will have these, probably around $20 for the kit.
There are instructions that come near the kit.
The basic idea is that if you hold stripped threads that you first drill out the hole to a larger size. Then you use a special heli-coil tap to cut new threads inside the hole. Last you use a tool from the kit to install the Heli-coil surrounded by the hole. Now the hole is good as new.
Along with the gear you will need an electric drill and some oil to lubricate the drill. Any oil will do.
Go slow, follow the instructions on the paraphernalia.
