Why Does 4 Wheel Drive Quit?
I have a 94 GMC 1500 4X4 the 4 wheel drive worked last Sunday & today when I verbs the floor shifter into 4H it blows a fuse & the 4 wheel drive does NOT work. What is my problem ?
Answer:
There is a selinoid on the front axle that engauges the 4x4 unit. You may have broke a flex off of it and it is shorted out. I would look under the vehicle and check that first.
