How Do I Get From JFK To The LIRR To Head East?
I have a friend coming in to JFK and would like to explain to him how to catch to the LIRR to get to Bay Shore.
Answer:
From JFK, ask where is the NYC Transportation Authority bus going to Mahnattan, NYC. Stay on the bus until you get to 125th Street and lexington Avenue.
NOTE:: the bus coming from Queens WILL obtain off the Triborugh Bridge onto 125th Street & Lexington Ave.
You are going halfway accross town to LENOX Avenue.
The side of the street the bus stops on should be the DOWNTOWN[SOUTH] side of the street.
NOTE:: you will be coming from EAST and heading WEST
Go DOWN the train stairs. you can catch Downtown[South] #2 train
NOTE: #2 & #3 train travel to the same place [#2 =express, #3=local]
34th Street there will be directions for the LIRR.
ask any police, there are plenty of them
Good luck
Danny,
I hear of the air train that takes passengers from JFK terminal to LIRR. I got the site and the schedule. Have you heard of this? This make it so much easier to fly to JFK and get onto the Island without having someone come and receive you through all that traffic.
