I Changed Water Pump On My '95' Intrepid ES..The Cam That Was Loosened To Get The Timing Cover Off Somehow Moved. Can You Tell Me How To Now Reach TDC?
The engine is a 3.5L. The bottom cam moved after being loosened to get timing cover off. How do I achieve the engine back to TDC Is it like older cars by getting #1 up? It probably doesn't give a hand to know that I am a woman, but I do work on all my vehicles, and I do know a few things about timing. I only just might have bit off more than I can chew this time. Can you please help?
Answer:
Align the camshaft sprocket timing flaw between the marks on the rear timing belt cover. The crankshaft should have grades on it and the block behind it.
