Plug into original computer - start iTunes. After proper disconnect - SHOULD be unlocked.

Alternative: - I located hidden report called _Locked and renamed it. This worked.
I did this on Mac with free TextWrangler: Open Hidden File: Navigate to Ipod (must be set for disk use to show up on Desktop). Then I have evasion folder which allows me to rename or trash from within an 'open file' dialog.
