After Shoaib Akhtar, Who Is The Second Player To Pull Out Of The Afro-Asian Cricket Cup?

Answer:
Pakistan ace-bowler Shoaib Akhtar recently pulled out of the Afro-Asian cup due to fitness problem.  The player to recently follow in his footsteps is none excluding Sri Lankan fast bowler Chaminda Vaas.  However the reason for Vaas's unavailability is different from that of Shoaib's.

According to SLC (Sri Lanka Cricket) secretary Kangadaran Mahtivanan, Chaminda Vaas declared his unavailability for the Afro-Asian Cup due to his commitment with the English County Season within which he is representing the county team Middlesex.  This was another setback for the organizers of the Afro-Asian cup (which would be played within India in June 2007 in the cities of Chennai and Bangalore) as both of the players (Shoaib and Chaminda) are hugely popular cricketers whose popular presence in the series would enjoy attracted a huge crowd and would have generated revenue for the organizers and would hold served the purpose of fundraising well enough.
