My Sewing Machine Won't Pick Up The Bobbin Thread. I Have A Kenmore 15008. What Do I Do?
Answer:
Did you pull the thread outside the casing when you put it into the machine? If so, it sounds similar to it might be in backwards. Take the bobbin out, flip it over and put it back into the machine. Hold the "top" thread and turn your mechanism "wheel" (the wheel on the right side of your machine) by hand. Turn it enough for the plunger to go down and then up 1 time. Look under the "foot". If everything is working correctly, you should enjoy a loop of the bobbin thread showing. Pull that thread up and then pull both the bobbin and top threads together for about 6". Place those thread tail toward the back edge of your machine, place your yard goods under the foot, lower the foot and then turn that wheel again satisfactory to form your first stitch. Hope this helps!
