My Son Wants A Cell Phone He's Only 10, His Friends Have One But I Don't Think It Is Necessary, I Am A Stay At Home Mom, I See Cell Phones As A Convenience Not A Toy. I Think He Should Have One At 13/14 Years Old. What Do You Think?

I think you are totally reasonable. I enjoy 3 girls. They got there cell phones when they were 13. The age that they be starting to go away from the house for more than school and to the acational friends house. They are not toys they cost money every month. I think they should be given when the necessitate is there. Not just to have fun near. I may be old fashion but kids have to much freedom in this day and age. I don't want everything that easy at there fingertips at such a young age.
