How Is The Eating Process Of Paramecium?

I need to know how paramecium take its food.

Answer:
The paramecium is a unicellular organism. There is no differentiation of body parts. The paramecium take food by using its cilia surrounded by oral groove which engulf the food to food vacuole by phagocytosis. This food vacuole travel in paramecium first anterior end then posterior closing. During this enzymes from cytoplasm digest the food. The digested food is taken by the cytoplasm and the food vacuole get smaller and smaller. When it reaches anal pore, it is excreted. For more details, visit Paramecium nurture.
