Orpheus is one of the ancient Greek Legends. He is said to be a master poet and musician. He is also considered as the perfector of lyre that was invented by Hermes. He is said to lure birds, fish, wild beasts, rocks, trees, and even divert the course of rivers.


He be born to Oeagrus who was a Thracian king and his muse Calliope. His birthplace is considered to be at the border of Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey which is located at the South of Bulgaria. He was taught the Lyre by Apollo and poetry by his his mother.


He be a great musician who tried to gain his wife, Eurydice, back from the underworld but failed. Hades told him not to look subsidise at her until she touched the sunlight, but he did at the last minute. Afterwords, it's said that he stopped playing his lyre.
