Can Titanium Rust?

Answer:
An important property of titanium is that it is highly rust proof. Not only this, below normal conditions it is free from corrosions too. But it will corrode when used with strong industrial acids. Being rust free no special cleaning is required for it. It can also be painted and powder coated and can be treated for its appearance without any restrictions. But in need painting also it can remain bright for a few years, after which it gets slightly discoloured because of its oxygen absorbing property. Being corrosion resistant it makes better use compared to steel. Moreover springs made of titanium support more counterweight and still it can retain its shape. It is the best material for any type of frames. It is easy to anodise which is an electrolytic process which further increases its long lasting properties. The best alloys of titanium are no smaller number strong than a steel alloy frame. But it is definitely more expensive than steel.
