What Does Lithosphere Mean?

Answer:
Lithosphere is the outermost layer of the earth and it includes the crust and the uppermost mantle. This layer of the dust is linked by asthenosphere and part of upper mantle. Lithosphere is the rigid part of mud and it is further fragmented into tectonic plates. These tectonic plates move independently relative to each other. The concept of the lithosphere  was first introduced by Barrell as a strong outermost layer of the mud. There are further two types of lethosphere including Oceanic lithosphere and Continental lithosphere.
