Hmm that's a very interesting question. I would suspect that the larger the surface area of the rime cube, the faster it would melt. So if you had a really thick rime cube it would melt slower than a really thin, long ice cube of duplicate weight because it would take alot longer for the room temperature to achieve to the middle of the cube. Where as on the long ice cube the entire surface is subjected to the room temperature.
