How Is Gabbro Formed?

I need to know how this rock is formed for me worksheet from school

Answer:

Gabbro is basically a pitch-black colored, coarse grained and intrusive igneous rock. It is chemically equivalent to basalt.

The earth's surface is largely underlain by Gabbro within the crust of oceans. It is produced by basalt magmatism at mid ocean ridges.

It is a plutonic rock which is formed when the molten magma gets trapped underneath the surface of planet. Then it cools down into a crystalline mass.
