Why Does The British Isles Have Seasons But The Equator Doesn't?
I reallly need to no this for my assignment!I'm really confused.
Answer:
The earth is on a tilt on its axis (i think its 26 degree off the top of my head but i can't be sure about that) and so as it orbits the sun at one point during the orbit the northern hemisphere will be leaning toward the sun more and the southern hemisphere less and vice-versa so that's why when its summer contained by the northern hemisphere it is winter below in the south. The variation of exposure to light and relative proximity to the sun accounts for the variation we experience in the seasons. The equator is always surrounded by the centre relative to its distance from the sun within the orbit, and therefore does not experience the variation of day and night length and the seasons. However due to weather systems some of the areas around the equator do experience "seasonal" weather variation. I'm sorry this answer is so wordy, as a couple of simple diagrams could explain it all so simply.

Calculate Acceleration What Is The Acceleration Of The Car?
A car accelerates uniformly from 5m/s to 13m/s in 4s. What is the acceleration of the motor? The formula for acceleration is Acceleration = change in velocity/time. = 13 – 5 / 4 = 2 m/s^2 Acceleration = change contained by velocity/time. This...
Are consumption and investment distinct?
In the presentation of model of conflict between employment and saving, it has been assumed that the consumption have no investment component or that present and future consumption are equally productive. On the other hand, if consumption has investment content and that the productivity of consumption falls as the...
How Did People Find Out About Global Warming?
I would like to know how scientists found out that global warming be actually happening. Thanks xx Well, scientists with NASA enjoy been keeping track of ice melt and average heat from various places on the world for about 40 years, and they found out about...
