How Do I Tell My Mother To Stop Calling So Much?
I married 15 march 2006. My second wedding anniversary is coming up.I am 40 years old and my husband is 29 we can never own quiet time.Complaint-my mother.She always wants to know what we are doing.I only need some guidance. My mom calls me at work at least 5 times a morning and by bedtime she is calling at least 5 more times. How to I tell her to stop calling so much? I need a break. When she call she doesn't talk about anything really. She is living in another state. Please give a hand.

Comment: I used to drive 10 hours one way to see her 2 times a month. I haven't be lately. She came down in December 07 when I had 3 chief surgeries in one and stayed for 3 weeks. I would say she is calling because she is worried something could happen to me after the surgery, but she have done this like FOREVER. You know ever is a long time when you put that for in front of it ... LOL..
Answer: How about not answering the phone to her more than once a year? Unless of course she'll panic that you've died and come rushing round, a few days of not answering her every call may achieve the message across

Why don't you try telling her that you are getting in trouble at work for personal phone call. Then tell her you will call her every night at a designated time.
