I Am Renting An Apartment And My Lease Was Forged By The Owners Mother. Is It Still Valid? If The Property Was Purchased During The Term Of My Lease, Am I Able To Opt Of Of My Lease?

I was told by my previous landlord that I would be able to go and get my security deposit back if the property was purchased since my lease expired. I do not have it in writing. Also, my lease was not signed by the owner of the property. Her signature be forged by her mother. Is my lease still considered valid?

Answer:
No I'm afraid, as you said in you post the lease is forged therefore its not legal. It can not be a court document with a forged signature on it can it?
Comment: I wouldn't think it would be a legal document if the signature be forged.
