Why Doesn't My Furnace Ignite Any More Or Stay Ignited And Why Do I Hear The The Heating System Come On In 10 To 15 Minute Intervals But No Heat Coming Out Of The Vents?

Answer:
This is a common problem with electronic thermostats.  When the thermostat's battery is low, it can't hold the circuit on long satisfactory for the furnace to operate.  It will try, and will keep trying, but it won't keep the circuit closed long enough for the furnace to steam up and provide heat.

Fortunately, there's a simple solution.  Replace the batteries.  And then set the time and restore any set-back settings.

If you still hold problems, then it's something in the furnace and you'll need it serviced.

If it is a direct vent furnace, you may want to net sure there are no obstructions in the vent
