Why Is My Peace Lilly Leaf Black And Dried Up?
Answer:
Could be salt build up, put the plant pot in the kitchen sink or bath tub (assuming it have holes in the bottom and you normally keep this holed pot inside another pot next to no holes) and run lots of room temp water through. When plants sit in pots in the house they don't achieve flushed through enough, so salts can build up. Sometimes feeding can engender this worse until the problem is fixed. Salt build up typically shows itself with the leaves going black from the tips towards the stem and taking up more of the leaf, at the same time going dry and black/brown. Brown tips are more commonly associated next to water issues - too much or too little, though I've read Peace Lillies can be quite tolerant to over watering (within reason). Note: The flushing technique, above, won't over water the plant as long as the pot you are flushing through have holes in, so the water will be going straight out.
