When Can You Move A Gardenia Plant?

Answer:
Spring or early summer would be the best time to move your gardenia.
Just be careful to dig general around the plant before moving and try not to disturb the root system too much. Be sure you dig the proper size hole in the foreign location, ( lots of room on all sides), and add a little marine to hole before replanting. Push the dirt in nice and firm around the plant once you have it replanted.
It may jump into shock for a couple of weeks once you have replanted. If so, it will look a little droopy, but it will soon perk up once it gets used to the unusual location.
