When Replacing The Wax Ring For A Toilet, Should There Be Anything Else That Covers The Flange,other Than The Wax Ring?
When I removed the toilet bowl, I found that there was a kind of soft metal that extended above the concrete floor and the brass flange and be bent or shaped over the top of the flange. The wax ring did need replacing, but i wondered if this soft metal was maybe for leveling the toilet, or whether or not someone might know more around this. I should also add that i am also removing the existing wood tile floor that was ruined by a leak and will expected just paint the concrete floor.
