How To Wire A 2 Way 2 Gang Switch?

Answer:
To wire two side by side single pole switches in one box, you need purely one always hot (normally black) wire.  TURN OFF POWER and make two short (6 inch or so) jumper using the same size wire as the incoming hot.
Splice one end of respectively jumper to the always hot wire, using a telecommunication nut.  Connect the other end of one jumper to a screw on the first switch; connect the other jumper to a screw on the second switch.
Connect the line that goes to one fixture to the other screw on the first switch and wire that goes to second fixture on the second switch.
There are more than one track that the rest of the wiring may be connected to the devices.  Neutrals and grounds may be in the switch box or they may go directly to the devices next to drops back to the switches.  The grounds and neutrals do not connect to the switched terminals, the ground just attaches to the green ground screw.
