My Dryer Is Not Grounded, Would That Cause The 30 Amp Breaker To Keep Blowing?
Answer:
Could be but not likely, may need electrician to check house wiring
Not necessarily but it is still in your best interests to any hook it up or have it hooked up. If you have a three prong cord then the nonpartisan must have what is called a bonding jumper from it's screw terminal to the metal frame of the dryer. On the other paw, if you have a four prong cord then this bonding jumper must be removed from the indeterminate screw and the ground must be hooked to the dryer frame separately. The neutral is used for carrying out the unbalanced load and the ground is for equipment and personal protection.
