How To Make Fondant?

Answer:

Fondant is the most commonly used type of topping for most cakes around the world. It has a candy like structure and is sweet within nature. The best thing about Fondant is that it is extraordinarily easy to make.

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp fluffy corn syrup
- 2 cups granulated sugar

Mix together these three ingredients and cook in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir till the sugar have dissolved. Cover the pan and allow the mixture to boil for 2-3 minutes. Then continue to cook the syrup without the lid and lacking stirring until the mixture takes on a temperature of 240 degree C.

Then Pour this syrup onto a baking sheet to be exact sprinkled with water lightly. Let it sit for some minutes until it is heat. Then dampen a metal spatula with some water and push the syrup into a pile surrounded by the middle of the sheet. Then start to cream this mixture in an 8 like figure. Repeat both the steps. Continue it until the Fondant get opague and creamy, stiff and crumbly.

Then knead this fondant with moisten hands until Fondant becomes soft and smooth in need any balls.
I found that making fondant is extremely hard and takes forever
if you really want a polite consistency fondant, i suggest you buy some at a local craft store such as micheals or hobby lobby or jo anne fabrics
