I watched a show a few weeks ago and they made a castle cake by making 3 square cakes, each different sizes. Stacked them up approaching they were tiers of a wedding cake then they put on sugar cones around the 4 sides of the second stratum and 1 one the top, the smallest layer. They used licorace to out line the door and then used candys and sprinkles to prettify. It looked really cute.
