I use this recipe:
1/2 cup real butter
1/2 cup crisco (can be generic
1/2 n 1/2
powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
cream butter and crisco. Add vanilla. Slowly add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time and 1/2 n 1/2 1 tablespoon at a time until the icing comes together. It usually takes roughly 4 cups or so of sugar, depending on the weather. 3-4 tablespoons of 1/2n1/2. When the icing starts to get thick,let it lash for a minute or two to be extra creamy. To make it Choc. Just add a couple of Tablespoons of cocoa powder when you add the 3-4th cup of sugar.The  humidity will own a lot to do with how much sugar you use so be sure to add 1 cup at a time.
