The absolutely best way to keep weevils out is freezing the rice. It will not hurt it and weevils will not survive frozen!
I enjoy heard that bay leaves will keep weevils away. I haven't tried it myself. I repackage any foods that can obtain weevils into plastic containers that have a lid that seals as soon as I bring it home from the store.
