Is It Abnormal For A BBQ Grill To Have A Huge Fire Ball Under The Hood When You Light It?

We have a BBQ grill. I lit the grill to turn it on a huge fire ball shot uo under the hood sounded approaching a gun shot I believe this is abnormal I am wondering do we need a new reservoir

Answer:
This is not good.  You are lucky you weren't seriously injured.  Check the burner to make sure that the gas jets are not rusted over.  If you can't clear the holes out, you can buy replacement burners at most stores that go grilles.  Check the ignitor and make sure it is clean and has perfect spark.  This is also an item that is easily replaced.

If your grill makes for a while "whoosh" sound when it lights, that is fine.  A big fireball and a gunshot sound is undeniably bad.
Comment: You also want air getting into the pit when you are lighting it, cause if you amenable the lid and light it that way, then you are also asking for trouble, a moment ago make sure the lid is open.
Answer: Well i didn't heard the nouns by your BBQ Grill but when ever i made a BBQ it always give sound near a huge fire ball may be because the electric or gas comes in all the burners at like time with great pressure and when they are lit BBQ Grill produces a great sound. So no need to verbs but be careful next time.
