I can't believe people are saying junk food should be prevented from all school canteens. I regard junk food shouldnt't be banned, instead left up to the student and their parents to establish what they eat.
Children should be able to make their own result, and most children eat healthy anyway, and occasionally eat second-hand goods food as a treat. If children are overweight it's usually the parents fault because if parents allow their kids access to the sugar, the kids will believe it is ok for them to eat.
Junk Food should not be banned, some associates view energy drinks as junk. However, lots of school have vending machines that supply this type of drink, to cater for their athletes who use it as an energy source.
If a school get rid of its vending machines to keep students healthy, they will lose the money for athletics. But then children won't be getting their exercise and after it will be worse for obesity and unhealthy children.
