Any Tips For Writers On Building Characters?

Answer:
Writers should think very carefully roughly speaking their characters, they should know them as well as they know any of their friends.

However, in terms of creating strong characters it is earth-shattering the character has a goal and tries different ways to finish this goal, that's how conflict is created and that is what keeps the work interesting because conflict stimulates the reader or the outsider.

In building a character, one should consider their strengths and weaknesses, and especially their needs and requirements.  These are the things that drive the characters in the plot of a novel, screenplay or stage play.

If you feel that a qualities is present only to serve a simple part of the plot, then consider whether they are obligatory at all.  The Minimalist approach is to me, the writer's greatest way.  The less clutter, the easier the arc of the story and the simpler the boardwalk that the audience has to tread.
