Are Doctors Allowed To Withhold Test Results?
My minor daughter has biopsy results that were returned to the doctor 2 days ago. Dr's office states they single release results during an office visit. Dr is 4 hours away and I am out of town working right now. My daughter have been battling undiagnosed problem for 6 weeks now. Can a doctor really do this?

It's the tenet. He could lose his licence for giving results over the phone. The legalities come in because he can't know absolutely who he is talking to over the phone. There are too frequent people out there who would call and enunciate they are the parent to find out what the results are.
