To me, there are 2 types of call centers. One is where the nickname center takes incoming calls to assist customers or prospective customers and the second type is where they formulate outgoing calls, usually telemarketing calls to get business. There are also centers that can do both. Also, some appointment centers have more specialized skills often for particular industries and others are more nonspecific. I hope this helps.
