Too dang much. Typical government answer to diminished use of its services is to raise the rates. I use electronic bill pay for everything and email for everything else. I still enjoy the first box of checks I received when I opened the account 2 years ago and I'm not even through the first book of them.
Hey USPS, why don't you just tilt the rate to $1.00 and see how many letters you carry afterwards.
