How Can I Easily Memorize Latin Principle Parts?

Answer:
First conjugation verbs almost invariably follow the pattern -o, -are, -avi, -atum, aside from odd verbs, such as sto, stare, steti, statum, or do, dare, dedi, datum.

Second conj. Verbs follow one of two patterns: Either -eo, -ere, -ui, -tum/sum or -eo, -ere, evi, etum.

Third conj. Are the most difficult as nearby are about a dozen common patterns contained by the perfect.

4th conjugation verbs follow the pattern -io, -ire, ivi, -itum, aside from oddities, resembling venio, venire, veni, ventum.

There are only a half dozen or so irregular verbs, such as sum and its compounds; eo, volo, malo, nolo, edo (to eat), and a few others (like the passive of facio, fio).
