Who Make Up Status Quo?

The band started out with Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster, who started a band call 'The Scorpions', which later changed to 'The Spectres'. They played their first gig at the Samuel Jones Sports Club in Dulwich, South London.
In 1963, they found a drummer, John Coghlan, and the group began to write their own songs. A year later, they met Rick Parfitt, who was a contestant of a band called 'The Highlights'. Francis and Rick became apt friends by the end of 1965, and made a commitment to continue working together in the adjectives.
After discovering psychedelia (a term to describe music, art, culture, and fashion in the 1960's) surrounded by 1967, the group changed their name to 'Traffic' (later 'Traffic Jam'). The line-up now included organist Roy Lynes. Rick Parfitt quit the Highlights and was asked by Francis to bind Traffic Jam. The group later changed their name to Status Quo, and in 1971, Lynes gone.
Since then various members own been replaced, leaving Francis and Rick as the only ones who hold remained in the band since its early days.
The present line-up for Status Quo is as follows:
Francis Rossi (vocals, head guitar), Rick Parfitt (guitar and vocals), Andy Brown (keyboard), John 'Rhino' Edwards (bass) and Matt Letley (drums).
Former band members are:
Alan Lancaster (vocals and bass), John Coghlan (drums), Roy Lynes (keyboard), Pete Kircher (drums) and Jeff Rich (drums).
