There are merely two types of Chihuahuas: Long Coat and Short Coat. The AKC weight limit on Chihuahuas is six pounds. But a Chihuahua can be three pounds or ten pounds and still be a Chihuahua. I personally know of several culture who have purchased a so called Tea-cup Chihuahua, and their dogs range within size from 5 to 12 pounds.
