My 10yr JRTerrrier Is In Pretty Good Health And She Is Pregnant For The First Time. She Is Due In A Few Days. What Are The Chances Of Her Having Complications Durring Delivery. If So, How Can I Help?

Its very self explanitory. I just have concerns because a few friends of mine are unfolding me that my dog may die or need to go to ER. I can't afford a vet bill so taking her to the ER is almost not an option. Is this a fatel situation for my dog?

Answer:
There is nil wrong with your dog. It is not very frequent in dogs to enjoy complications in their pregnancy. You should get worried only when the dog have arrived at her expected due date and no body temperature drop off or when there is no sign of labor, i.e. uterine contractions, within 12 to 18 hrs of a body temperature dropping off.
But surrounded by healthy pregnancy, just about 6 to 24 hrs formerly giving birth, your dog will start on shivering, pacing, out of breath or acting differently. She may run around uneasily or scratch at the floor, looking for a position to nest. Let it do such things and stop worrying at the moment.
