He most likely is drinking to fast which is causing him to throw up. See if you slow him down when he is drinking and see if it stops him from throwing up.
This could be cause by drinking too quickly. You can use a smaller bowl, and have more than one watering station around the house. Also try and limit exercise right away after drinking. There are other causes of vomiting including worms, infections, organ problems, metabolic disorders, obstructions or partial blockages, allergies or intolerances, pancreatitis or inflammatory bowel disease. If the vomiting persists, worsens or your dog shows other signs of weakness, you should contact your vet to investigate the problem.
